Senior Azure Data Engineer

Summary


Datalineo have an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer with strong skills in data extraction, transformation and loading for Business Intelligence and Data Analytics projects. You will be using Microsoft’s Azure data Platform technologies such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Power BI and the new Microsoft Fabric platform announced in May.
You will be involved in developing leading edge data platform solutions for a wide range of local and global customers.
This is a senior-level role requiring a minimum of five years proven industry experience and ability to deliver.

What you will do

 

  • Plan, design and implement Azure data solutions 

  • Design complex ETL processes for reporting & analytics purposes

  • Design & implement reporting solutions using Power BI/Microsoft Fabric

  • Liaise directly with stakeholder to understand needs and drive value

What skills we’re looking for

 

  • Senior-level experience in design and implementation of enterprise business intelligence and analytics platforms

  • Experience in Azure Data platform tools like Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, SQL Pools, Azure SQL database, Azure Data Lake

  • Data Warehousing experience, including ETL, data modeling and database design techniques

  • Experience in Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Git and deployment automation

  • Experience in languages like Python, PowerShell, SQL

  • Microsoft certifications in relevant data platform areas

  • Experience in Power BI with emphasis on best-practice data modeling, querying & DAX

  • Problem solving and results-driven aptitude
